DETROIT, MI -- The Minnesota Twins' nightmare of a season continued in a sloppy 6-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers this (Wednesday) afternoon.

Entering the 7th inning, the Twins had more errors (three) than hits (two) as Detroit starter Justin Verlander pitched into the 8th.

Starter Ricky Nolasco lasted five innings giving up nine hits and four runs -- but only two earned to fall to 1-2 on the season.

Eduardo Nunez, Trevor Plouffe and Kurt Suzuki each had two hits for Minnesota, but the Twins had only one other hit and struck out 11 times in the loss.

With the loss, the Twins fall to 10-29 on the season. Minnesota comes home to Target Field to start a four-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays tomorrow night at 7:10 p.m.
