ST. PETER - The Saint John's hockey team had its six-game winning streak end, falling to #15 ranked Gustavus 2-1 on Friday.

Freshman Brady Riesgraf scored the lone goal for Saint Johns in the first period, giving them a 1-0 lead.

Gustavus would strike back in the second period with a goal from Tyler Lapic. Adam Smyth scored the go-ahead goal 4:24 into the third period for the 2-1 victory.

SJU goalie Saxton Soley made 21 saves for the loss. The Johnnies are now 11-7 and 5-4 in the MIAC. They return to action at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night for a re-match with Gustavus at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
