ROCHESTER -- After another 1-1 day, the St. Cloud Tech and Community College softball team placed 5th at the NJCAA Division III National Championship.

The #3 Cyclones lost in the first game of the day 1-0 to Onandage Community College in 10 innings. Paige Larsen had two of the Cyclones' five hits on the day, including a double -- but Onandage's Morgan Nichols pitched all 10 innings keeping SCTCC scoreless.

The loss set up SCTCC with a rematch against Ocean County College, who beat them 3-2 in yesterday's (Thursday) opening round game.

The game was scoreless until the 6th inning when the Cyclones broke out for five runs in the final two innings. Catcher Olivia Stockinger went 4-for-4 at the plate and Shania Kinghorn and Morgan Majerus each added two RBI for the Cyclones in the victory.

With the win, the Cyclones finish the season with a combined 41-13 record.
