ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud State women's hockey team lost a close game to the University of North Dakota last night 2-1.

Senior Julia Gilbert scored for the Huskies in the second period to tie the game 1-1.

UND would score the go-ahead goal in the third period for the  2-1 victory.

Julie Friend recorded 34 saves for the Huskies. St. Cloud moves to 0-5-2 with the loss.

The Huskies will be back in action this afternoon for game two against North Dakota at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Game time is scheduled for 3:07 p.m.
