ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud State University women's hockey team fell short against Rensselaer yesterday, falling 2-1 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

RPI would get two power-play goals in the first period. Jordan Smelker and Madison Marzario both scored for the Engineers.

The Huskies would get their lone goal from Molli Mott in the third period. Sophomore Katie Fitzgerald picked up 18 saves for the Huskies in front of the net.

St Cloud State is 2-11-3 this season and will continue at home next week with a pair of games against Minnesota State Mankato.
