The St. Cloud State men's basketball team gets a chance to play an exhibition game at Michigan State against Tom Izzo and the Spartans Friday night at 7:30.  The reason why the game came about is that St. Cloud State guard Kevin Levandowski's uncle is Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo.  This game was in the works for 2 years and has now become a reality.  St. Cloud State head coach Kevin Schlagel talks with Jay Caldwell and Lee Voss on the Granite City Cafe on AM 1390-the Fan.

The game Friday night can be seen online by going to St. Cloud State's Athletic website and will be shown at the Ultimate Sports Bar and Grill in Waite Park and in downtown St. Cloud at Brothers Bar and Grill.

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team returns key players point guard Shaun Jensen, small forward Theo Rothstein, and center James Fort.  The Huskies were 20-9 last season and will start the year without top scorer and rebounder Tim Bergstrasser.  Bergstrasser tore his ACL near the end of last season and Coach Schlagel says Bergstrasser will be out until January.

SCSU begins the regular season November 16 at Collegeville against St. John's.
