SCSU Hockey Weekend Preview With Oliver, Motzko and Hatten [AUDIO]

St. Cloud State's mens hockey team opens the regular season this weekend with a home series against Colgate University. The Huskies are currently ranked #7 in the USCHO poll, while Colgate checks in at #6.

SCSU senior captain Nick Oliver joins Granite City Sports at 12:30 every Wednesday (10/8 Hour Two) to talk Husky Hockey. This week, Oliver talked about the frosh's first NCAA action, the transition from Ryan Faragher in net to Charlie Lindgren and previewed the series with Colgate.

Head coach Bob Motzko (10/8 Hour Three)  joined the show on Wednesday to wrap up the exhibition win over Trinity Western, talk about the young players and growth of the sophomore class and also talked recruiting among other things.

St. Cloud Times beat reporter Mick Hatten joined Granite City Sports on Thursday (10/9 Hour Three) and told us about the Times' hockey preview issue, about the Finnish recruit pipeline the team has established and predicted how this weekend's series may go.
