The St. Cloud State men's hockey team will open the WCHA season this weekend at home against Minnesota State-Mankato this Friday and Saturday.  SCSU hosts the Mavericks at 7:37 Friday night and at 7:07 on Saturday night.  St. Cloud State is 2-2-0 after sweeping Alabama-Huntsville 8-3 and 4-0 last weekend.  MSU-Mankato is 2-0-2 this season.  Mankato tied and beat Huntsville 2 weeks ago.

St. Cloud State was 17-17-5 in 2011-2012.  Nic Dowd leads the Huskies in points with 6 after 4 games while senior Drew LeBlanc has posted 5 points.  Ryan Faragher is the top goaltender for St. Cloud State after serving as the backup to Mike last season.
