RUSSELLVILLE - The St. Cloud State baseball team opened its 2014 season on Friday with 3-2 victory in 12 innings over Quincy College.

The Huskies started the scoring in the second inning. Zak Hoffman hit a 2RBI double to score Zach Hoffmann and Travis Enger.

Quincy would add runs in the fifth and sixth inning to tie the game 2-2.

SCSU pitcher Reese Gregory won the game for the Huskies in the 12th inning with an RBI single to score Brandon Arnold.

Gregory was also the winning pitcher in the action, allowing one hit and striking out three in the last four innings of the game.

SCSU will continue its weekend series on Saturday against Arkansas Tech.
