The St. Cloud State baseball team finished their quest for three straight NSIC tournament championships one game short this past weekend, losing to Minnesota State-Mankato in the championship game.

Despite the setback, the Huskies will be a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament and will take on #6 Missouri Western in Emporia, Kansas Thursday evening at 7:45. The Huskies finished the season 39-16, while Missouri Western checks in at 32-20.

SCSU is appearing the NCAA tournament for the seventh time since 2010, including trips in 2015 and 2016. The Huskies have finished as runners-up four times since 2010, but have never advanced to the Divsion II College World Series.
