Sartell’s Ross Steps Down As Football Coach

Longtime football coach at Sartell-St. Stephen John Ross is stepping down as head football coach after 17 seasons.  He made the announcement to his team at their football banquet this weekend.  Ross led the Sabres to State runners-up finishes in 2004 and 2009 and won Central Lakes Conference titles in 2006 and 2009.

Ross had replaced Dean Taylor as head football coach after Dean held the position for 26 seasons.  Ross was just the 2nd head football coach in school history.  Ross remains in Sartell as the Athletic Director for Sartell-St. Stephen high school and junior high.
