Saint John’s Wins Home Opener 17-14

COLLEGEVILLE - Saint John's improved to a 2-0 record after defeating Wisconsin-Eau Claire 17-14 this afternoon.

Connor Bruns filled in for an injured Nick Martin at quarterback today, and went 15-29 for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

All 17 of Saint John's points came in the second quarter, they would go into halftime with a 17-0 lead.

Wisconsin- Eau Claire made things interesting thanks to two touchdown runs from Joel Sweeney, but the Johnnies would hold on and win with a final score of 17-14.

Saint John's will be away from home next week as they take on the University of St. Thomas
