The Twins lost 5-2 at Kansas City Wednesday night to lose the series 2 games to 1.  Sam Deduno didn't have his best start allowing 12 hits and 4 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss and drop to 7-5.  Brian Dozier went 3-5 with a run scored and 1 RBI.  Both Jamey Carroll and Justin Morneau had 2 hits.

Alex Gordon had 2 htis, a homerun and 2 RBIs for the Royals.  The Twins are 49-62 and will begin a 4-game series in Chicago against the White Sox Friday.  The Twins play a day/night doubleheader Friday at 1:10, pregame on WJON at 12:40.  This makes up for a previous rain-out.  Kyle Gibson starts the afternoon game while Liam Hendriks is expected to be called up to pitch the night game.

Twins catcher/outfielder Ryan Doumit left the game at Kansas City Wednesday night in the 4th inning due to nausea.  The nausea is a sign of concussion like symptoms and Doumit is expected to be placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list.  Outfielder Josh Willingham is expected to be activated off the 15-day disabled list Friday.
