The Twins lost 3-0 at Kansas City to the Royals and were swept in the series this week.,  Wade Davis combined with 2 relievers on a 7-hit shutout for the Royals.  Davis threw 5 innings with 4 hits allowed to get the win.  Liam Hendriks threw 5 innings with 1 earned run allowed to take the loss and drop to 0-1.  Chris Parmelee and Joe Mauer each had 2 hits for the Twins.

Minnesota is 4-5 and will get the day off Thursday before hosting the New York Mets at 7:10 Friday night beginning a 3-game series, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Vance Worley (0-1) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Jonathan Niese (1-0) toes the rubber for the Mets.
