A lengthy rain delay, a dramatic comeback and a big blast in extra innings all added up to a 5-2 Rox win over Rochester at Mayo Field on Sunday. The game's start was delayed over three hours due to inclement weather.

The Honkers broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the seventh inning on a pair of singles, then scored another run in the eighth inning on a groundout to make the score 2-0.

The Rox were down to their last strike in the bottom of the ninth with Devin Pearson in the batters box and runners on first and second base. Pearson, who saw his average jump from .129 to .229 by going 4-4 in the game, smacked a double on a full count to tie the game.

Adam Martin hit a three-run blast in the top of the 12th inning to give the Rox the victory. Adam Maxon earned the win on the mound for the Rox with two scoreless innings.

The Rox are at Rochester again on Monday night with Jason Hoppe scheduled to start for St. Cloud. You can listen to the game on AM 1390 The Fan, online, or by downloading the free Radio Pup app.
