The St. Cloud Rox split a doubleheader with the Rochester Honkers Monday night at Joe Faber Field. The Honkers won game one 8-6 before the Rox took game two 4-1.

Game one was the conclusion of a suspended game from earlier in June, and was picked up in the third inning with the Rox trailing 6-3. St. Cloud scored a run in each of the third, fourth and seventh innings but could not finish the rally, as Rochester scored runs in the top of the sixth and ninth inning.

Connor Crane and Kyle Serrano each had a pair of hits for the Rox in the loss, and Liam Bedford was 1-5 with an RBI.

The Rox won game two, which was shortened to seven innings, behind a solid start from SCSU's Sheldon Miks. Miks went five innings and allowed just one run on five hits and three walks. Trevor Charpie picked up the save by pitching two scoreless innings.

The Rox are now 11-9 on the season and trail Duluth by two games in the NWL's North Division. St. Cloud hosts Rochester again on Tuesday night at Joe Faber Field. Pregame coverage on AM 1390 The Fan begins at 6:35.
