The Rocori Spartans fell on the road to the St. Peter Saints 78-58 Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. The Spartans trailed 42-31 at halftime and were only ever able to close the gap to 10 in the second half. The Saints hit 11 3-pointers in the game. Rocori was 12-23 from the free throw line and struggled without senior forward Zach Templin, missing his second straight game due to injury. Jonah Eisenschenk and Jeron Terres were the only Spartans in double figures, scoring 17 and 14 points respectively. The Saints were led by center Peter Kruize who scored 23 points and went over the 1,000 career point mark for his career in the second half.

The loss drops Rocori to  14-10 and ups the Saints record to 21-3. Coming up this week for the Spartans is two road matchups in the Central Lakes Conference to close out the regular season. The Spartans travel to Brainerd on Monday to take on the Warriors, and then travel to Alexandria to take on the Cardinals on Friday. Both games are at 7:30pm, with the pregame show at 7:20.
