The Twins lost 5-1 to Boston in exhibition play Sunday afternoon in Fort Myers, Florida.  Carl Pavano allowed 7 hits and 4 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss.  Chris Parmelee hit a solo homerun accounting for the lone Twins run.  Minnesota plays Tampa Bay at Charlotte Sports Park at 12:05 today.

The Twins re-assigned catcher J.R. Towles, infielder Brian Dozier, outfielder Brian Dinkelman and righthanded pitcher Casey Fien to minor league camp.  The Twins are also expected to play pitcher Scott Baker on the 15-day disabled list and pitcher Jason Marquis will be placed on bereavement leave attending to his 7-year old daughter who was injured in a bicycle accident.

The opening day Twins roster will likely consist of catchers Joe Mauer and Ryan Doumit, infielders Justin Morneau, Chris Parmelee, Alexi Casilla, Jamey Carroll, Luke Hughes, Danny Valencia and Sean Burroughs, outfielders Ben Revere, Denard Span, Josh Willingham and Trevor Plouffe, starting pitchers Carl Pavano, Francisco Liriano, Nick Blackburn and Liam Hendriks, relief pitchers Matt Capps, Glen Perkins, Brian Duensing, Jared Burton, Matt Maloney, Anthony Swarzak, Jeff Gray, and Alex Burnett.
