The Twins were shut out by the Seattle Mariners on Friday night at Target Field. Kendrys Morales hit a two-run home run off of Twins starter Mike Pelfrey in the sixth to account for the bulk of the Seattle runs.

Seattle starter Hisashi Iwakuma allowed seven hits and two walks in 7.2 innings before yielding to the bullpen.

The loss snapped a four game Twins winning streak. Minnesota hosts Seattle Saturday for a matinee.
