The NBA lockout is expected to end after the players and owners have reached a tentative agreement to start playing basketball again and end the 149-day lockout.  The deal would allow for a 66-game schedule instead of 82 games and would start on Christmas Day some teams.  Training camp and free agency would begin December 9.

Teams scheduled to play on Christmas Day are Boston at New York, Miami at Dallas and the Los Angeles Lakers against the Chicago Bulls.  Barring a change to the schedule the Timberwolves would open the season at home against Oklahoma City on December 26.
