The ALDS series games both finished in dramatic fashion Wednesday night.  The Yankees downed Baltimore 3-2 in 12 innings to take a 2 games to 1 series lead.  Raul Ibanez pinch hit for Alex Rodriguez in the 9th inning and hit a solo homerun to force extra innings and Ibanez hit a solo homerun in the 12th inning to win the game.  The Yankees host Baltimore in Game 4 tonight at 6:37.

Oakland scored 3 9th inning runs off Tigers closer Jose Valverde to win game 4 and force a deciding Game 5 in Oakland tonight.  Seth Smith hit a 2-run double off Valverde in the 9th before Coco Crisp hit a walk-off RBI single to win the game.  The series is tied at 2 games apiece and Game 5 will be in Oakland at 8:37 tonight.

St. Louis blanked Washington 8-0 to take a 2 games to 1 series lead in the NLDS Wednesday afternoon.  Cris Carpenter threw 5 2/3 innings with 7 hits and 0 runs allowed to get the win.  Game 4 of the series is today at 3:07 in Washington.

San Francisco defeated Cincinnati 8-3 in Cincy Wednesday afternoon.  Pablo Sandoval had 3 hits, a homerun and 3 RBIs for the Giants.  The series in tied at 2 games apiece and deciding Game 5 is today at 12:07pm in Cincinnati.
