Mauer’s Bobble Costly In Twins Loss Wednesday

Joe Mauer’s fielding error led the Twins to a 2-1 loss against Pittsburgh yesterday. Mauer bobbled a ball with two outs and the bases loaded in the eighth inning that allowed both Pirates runs to score.

Oswaldo Arcia hit a home run to account for the Twins offense, while Ricky Nolasco struck out three batters while walking one in four scoreless innings.

The Twins take on Boston Thursday night.
