The Granite City Lumberjacks topped the Breezy Point North Stars 5-2 for their tenth straight win Friday night at Breezy Point.

After a scoreless first period, the Stars broke the stalemate just :27 into the second period to take a 1-0 lead.

However, Aidan Verbeke scored a pair of second period goals to give the Jacks the lead for good. The first came at 4:52 from Mitchell Gwost, and the second short handed at 9:46. Zac Sikich also scored in the second for Granite City, who held a 3-1 lead after two periods.

Christian Mohs and Travis Kothenbeutel scored third period goals for the Lumberjacks, who are now 10-2-0 on the season.

The Jacks are at home Saturday night to take on Alexandria.
