Lumberjacks Take Series With Sunday Win Over Rival Blizzard

The Granite City Lumberjacks topped the Alexandria Blizzard 4-2 Sunday night to advance in the NA3HL playoffs. The Blizzard upset the Lumberjacks at Sports Arena East on Friday night, but Granite City bounced back with a pair of wins on Saturday and Sunday.

The Lumberjacks got second period goals from Taylor Brown and David Kenney to break a 2-2 tie and earn the win.

Drew Otto scored the first two goals for the 'Jacks to give Granite City a 2-0 lead in the first period. He finished the game with three points.

The Lumberjacksl move on to the West Division Finals next weekend against the North Iowa Bulls.
