The Vikings lost 34-28 at Detroit to the Lions Sunday afternoon.  Joe Webb fumbled the football on the last play on a first and goal from the Lions 9-yard line and the game ended with the Lions recovering.  Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy appeared to grab the facemask of Joe Webb on the final play contributing to the fumble.  No flag was thrown.

The Vikings fell behind 31-14 at halftime and Christian Ponder was benched early in the 2nd half after throwing his 3rd interception.  Ponder was 11-21 passing for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns with 3 interceptions and one fumble lost.  Webb replaced Ponder and ran for 109 yards including a 65-yard touchdown run.  He also threw for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Toby Gerhart played for an injured Adrian Peterson and ran for 90 yards and caught a touchdown pass.  Peterson missed his 3rd straight game with a high ankle sprain.  Percy Harvin led the Vikings with 10 catches for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Minnesota is 2-11 and will host New Orleans next Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am.
