The St. John's baseball team defeated St. Thomas 10-5 in the 2nd game played between the two teams in Minnetonka Sunday.  St. John's had 2 chances to win 1 game and lost game 1 6-3 to force a deciding 2nd game which St. John's won.  Joey Long had 1 hit and 2 RBIs in game 1 for St. John's.  Max Forster was 2-4 with a homerun and 4 RBIs for the Johnnies in game 1.

St. John's is 29-14 while St. Thomas falls to 34-8.  The Johnnies will play in the NCAA Division III tournament for the first time since 1998.  This is the first time St. John's has won the MIAC tournament title.  The Johnnies are coached by Jerry Haugen.  Jerry is in his 35th season as head coach at St. John's.  The Johnnies will play Wednesday May 16 in the NCAA tournament.  The pairings will be announced Monday.
