EMPORIA, KANSAS - The St. Cloud State Huskies Baseball team knocked off Minnesota State Mavericks 9-4 at the NCAA Division II Regional Playoff.

SCSU took the lead in 1st inning when Mitch Mallek's sac fly brought home Judd Davis. The Huskies tacked on another run moments late when Matt Meyer's single brought home Jordan Joseph, increasing the Huskies lead to 2-0 early in the contest.

A few innings later Malek would continue his impressive outing with solo home-run in the 3rd inning.  Before MSU would get on the board the Huskies were up 5-0. Mallek finished the game with 3 RBI's.

SCSU starter Dominic Austing pitched 6 2/3 innings giving up 7 hits, 2 runs and struck-out 9.
