BISMARCK - Michael Walker scored two touchdowns as the #25 St. Cloud State Huskies defeated the University of Mary 20-13 yesterday.

The Huskies improve to 6-1 overall with the win at 2-1 in the NSIC North.

St. Cloud scored first with a one-yard touchdown run from Michael Walker. Senior quarterback Phillip Klaphake then threw a 41 yard touchdown pass to Dan Brown in the second quarter to give the Huskies a 14-0 lead at halftime.

Mary would keep things interesting after halftime, scoring 13 second half points. U-Mary would get a touchdown pass from Craig Bagnell to Jeremy Maryfield, Tyler Ryan would also tally two field goals in the second half.

The Huskies would respond in the fourth quarter with another Walker touchdown, sealing a 20-13 victory.

Phillip Klaphake finished 12 of 26 passing for 163 yards. Walker finished the game with 14 carries for 75 yards on the ground.

St. Cloud State will return home next week for a match-up against Northern State. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
