COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- The St. Cloud State Huskies men's hockey team scored seven goals in the first 28 minutes of the game and cruised to an easy victory of Colorado College.

The game was never in question as Patrick Russell gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead with a goal at the 1:14 mark of the first period.

SCSU finished the opening period with a scoring burst in which Nick Oliver, Kalle Kossila, and Blake Winiecki all scored within ninety-eight seconds of each other.

Leading 4-0, the Huskies added an exclamation point in the second period as Jonny Brodzinski netted two goals while Joey Benik added another one to give SCSU a 7-0 lead.

Colorado College scored their lone goal in garbage time in the final period as the Huskies improve to 11-13-1 on the season.

SCSU will look hope this dominant victory will build some confidence to parlay into a winning streak as they play Colorado College again tonight.
