The Minnesota Wild are in Los Angeles Tuesday night to take on the Kings at Staples Center, but they will have to adapt to life without their captain as well as their standout goaltender. Forward Mikko Koivu and goaltender Josh Harding were both added to the injured reserve Monday.

Koivu injured his ankle on Saturday night against the Washington Capitals. The captain and top-line center stayed in the game after the injury and collected two assists. Koivu is unlikely to be healthy enough to play in time for the Olympics, which begin February 8th.

Harding had been having a remarkable season before being shut down in late December to adjust his medication for Multiple Sclerosis. The Wild are not saying if this illness is related to the MS.

Tonight's game can be heard on AM 1390 The FAN with pregame coverage beginning at 9 PM and the opening face off scheduled for 9:30.
