Joe Coleman of Hopkins has been Minnesota Associated Press Player of the year for boys basketball this season.  He was a unanimous selection after leading Hopkins in scoring averaging 22 points a game and leading Hopkins to their 3rd straight Class 4A state title this season.  Coleman played small forward for Hopkins this season and is expected to play shooting guard for the Gophers when he attends the University of Minnesota starting this fall.  Coleman won Mr. Basketball in the state of Minnesota Tuesday.  He is the 116th best player in the nation according to rivals.com.
