The Rochester Honkers scored runs in each of the first three innings to seize a lead they would never relinquish in a 4-3 victory over the St. Cloud Rox at Mayo Field Monday night.

Jason Hoppe made his season debut for the Rox. The Sauk Rapids native lasted six innings and struck out five batters while allowing no walks. He allowed three runs on seven hits.

Seven Rox had one hit apiece, with Adam Martin and Christian Helsel given credit for RBI.

The Rox will take the bus to Ontario for a three game series beginning Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay. First pitch Tuesday and Wednesday is scheduled for 6:05, with a 10:05 start on Thursday.
