Cathedral @ Milaca- The Crusaders suffered a setback last week against Becker by a 49-28 final score to fall to 3-4 on the season. Cathedral is currently in fourth place in section 5AAA. Head coach Andy Auger says he would like to see his team clean up some things defensively tonight (audio):

Sauk Rapids-Rice @ ROCORI- It's a matchup of two teams desperate for a win. ROCORI is 1-6 so far this season and have lost three straight games since their lone win over Alexandria in Cold Spring. The Spartans fell in a late-night, rain delayed game 56-13 at home to Willmar last week. Head coach Mike Rowe says he is trying to take the pressure off of his young defense (audio):

The Storm knocked on the door for their first win in weeks five through seven with three straight close losses, but suffered a big setback last week in a 56-7 loss to Sartell-St. Stephen. Sauk Rapids-Rice is 0-7 and in sixth place in Section 8 5A.

Tech @ Willmar- The Tigers led last week's pivotal game at Apollo 6-0 when lightning was sighted in the area and the game was delayed for about an hour. Coming out of the locker room the Eagles put up 21 straight points and upset the Tigers. Tech is now 5-2 on the season and would likely wrap up their second seed in Section 8 5A with a win tonight at Willmar. Tech Head coach Gregg Martig says the Cardinals play a similar style to Apollo (audio):

The Cardinals are in third place in Section 6 5A with a 5-2 record, behind 7-0 teams St. Michael-Albertville and Rogers. Interestingly, Willmar is 4-0 away from home but just 1-2 at their home field. The Cardinals beat ROCORI 56-13 Friday night in Cold Spring.

Apollo @ Sartell-St. Stephen- The Eagles won the Central Lakes South Division title last week, and improved to 6-1 on the season, with a 21-6 win over Tech. It is Apollo's first conference title since 1995. Head coach Justin Skaalerud says that Sartell has been playing impressive football of late (audio):

The Sabres have rattled off three straight wins after an up-and-down start to the season. Running back Derek Stachowski continued his late-season dominance with over 200 yards rushing last week, but head coach Scott Hentges says that the Sabres defense has been a major factor in this success as well (audio):
