The Sartell Sabres lost to the the #5 ranked Bemidji Lumberjacks Friday night by a score of 31-24 from Sartell. The loss drops Sartell to 1-3 on the season and keeps the Lumberjacks undefeated at 4-0. Sartell scored 10 quick points in the first quarter thanks to a 78 yard touchdown pass from Brandon Snoberger to Nick Jensen. The Sabres also added a field goal from Riley Isaacson to take the 10-0 lead.

The Lumberjacks pull the score to 10-7 thanks to a four yard touchdown run from Tanner Boes. The Lumberjacks also get a field goal from William Annette to tie the game at 10. The Sabres pull in front just before halftime thanks to a two yard run from Brandon Snoberger to take a 17-10 lead into halftime.

The Lumberjacks got the first score of the second half thanks to another touchdown run from Tanner Boes to pull with in 17-16 after a missed extra point. The Sabres extend their lead to 24-16 after a 46 yard run from Darek Stachowski. Later in the 4th quarter the Lumberjacks get another touchdown run from Tanner Boes and a two point conversion to tie the game at 24.

The Lumberjacks got a late touchdown reception from James Hendricks to take the lead for the first time in the game at 31-24. The Sabres got the ball with 1 minute left in the game but were unable to drive for the tying score.

Up next for the Sabres is a game against Grand Rapids Friday from Grand Rapids.
