The Miami Heat coasted past the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 103-82 win at Target Center Saturday night. Kevin Love did not play for the Wolves in the game because he was attending a relative's funeral in Oregon.

Minnesota traded baskets with the Heat and lead the game 25-24 after the first quarter, but Miami pulled away when they outscored the Wolves 31-17 in the second quarter and never looked back.

Heat forward LeBron James narrowly missed a triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. His teammate Dwayne Wade added 19 points in the win, which improved Miami to 15-5 on the season.

The Wolves were lead by Kevin Martin with 19 points, just ahead of Nikola Pekovic, who had 18 in the loss. Minnesota's record fell to 9-11 on the season.

The Timberwolves play at Detroit on Tuesday night.
