The Gopher men's basketball team showed a sign of life Tuesday night with an unexpected home win over top ranked Indiana.  The Gophers appeared close to be falling into the same trap when they fell behind by 8 in the 2nd half.  A combination of Elliot Eliason and Maverick Ahanmisi fueled comeback and the Gophers emerged the winner.

Is this a sign that they are back or is this just another way that they are teasing us?  What the Gophers do over the next couple of weeks will give us a clue as to whether they can compete in the Big Ten Tournament of NCAA tournament if they get there.  The Gophers host Penn State Saturday and will close the season with road games at Nebraska and Purdue.  Penn State hasn't won a Big Ten game yet, Nebraska got crushed by Wisconsin Tuesday night and Purdue has been an underachiever.  The Gophers need at least 2 wins in their next 3 to take themselves off the bubble.

Tubby Smith for now has taken himself off the "hate list" of Gopher fans everywhere.  Will it last?  Only time will tell.
