Gophers Win Holiday Bowl Tuesday

The Gopher football team beat Washington State 17-12 Tuesday night in the Holiday Bowl. Minnesota (9-4) finishes the season with nine wins for the first time since 2003.

Mitch Leidner was 11/20 through the air with a touchdown pass to Shannon Brooks, and Rodney Smith rushed 17 times for 74 yards and a touchdown.
