The Gopher men's basketball team lost 66-61 at home against #6 Michigan State Wednesday night despite leading by 8 in the 2nd half.  Michigan State closed the game on a 19-7 run in the final 6 minutes.  The Gophers ran the clock and appeared to play not to lose while allowing Michigan State to come back.

Austin Hollins led the Gophers with 17 points and both Rodney Williams and Julian Welch added 10 points apiece.  Minnesota committed 14 turnovers while Michigan State committed 5 turnovers.

The Gophers are 5-10 in the Big Ten and 17-11 overall.  Minnesota has 3 regular season games left and will host #24 Indiana at noon Sunday, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 11:30.
