MINNEAPOLIS - The top ranked Gopher hockey team struck fast and scored five goals in the first period as they toppled #5 Boston College 6-1 this afternoon.

Nate Condon, Seth Ambroz, Mike Reilly, Brady Skjei, Michael Brodzinski, and Jake Bischoff all scored for the Gophers in the action.

Minnesota goalie Adam Wilcox made 31 saves for the win.

Up next, the Gophers will be on the road to take on #2 Notre Dame for a two game series on November 8-9.
