Gopher Basketball Will Make Biggest Improvement Next Season
Minnesota sports fans are depressed after terrible seasons for the Vikings, Wild, Timberwolves, Gopher basketball, and the bad start to the season for the Twins. Here's a pick-me-up. The Gopher basketball team will make the biggest improvement of the teams I mentioned. The Vikings need a new quarterback and the defense is getting old. This year in a best case scenario still keeps them from making the playoffs. The Wild arn't developing enough young talent and don't have enough goal scorers. The Timberwolves are more than 1 or 2 players away from getting significantly better. The Twins may turn it around but things don't look so good right now. The Gopher basketball team suffered 2 key injuries and had 1 key departure that doomed their season. Top player Trevor Mbakwe returns to the Gophers this season and with additions of guards Joe Coleman, Andre Hollins and Jullian Welch the Gophers will become an NCAA Tournament team again. Will they will the Big Ten? I doubt it but they will be respectable.
