The Gopher men's basketball team signed 3 players to National Letters of intent today.  The 3 are 6'11 230 pound 3-star center Bakary Konate from Sunrise Christian Academy from Wichita, Kansas, 6'9 210 pound forward/center Gaston Diedhiou from the Canary Islands and 6'4 shooting guard Zach Lofton from St. Paul, Minnesota.

Konate and Diedhiou will be eligible to play during the 2014-2015 season while Lofton is a a transfer from Illinois State and will need to sit out the 2014-2015 season due to NCAA transfer rules.  Lofton will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.  He averaged 11.3 points per game for Illinois State in 2013-2014.

Konate is a Mali native and is considered a good rebounder, shot blocker and can shoot for range.  Diehiou is considered a top athlete and defensive player who can play multiple positions.

The Gophers return 4 of 5 starters from the 2013-2014 season.
