The 23rd ranked Gopher men's basketball team will host Iowa today in another game they really need to win to stay on a pace to be a NCAA Tournament team.  Gametime today at 12:00, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 11:30.  The Gophers are 16-5 overall and 4-4 in the Big Ten.  Minnesota has lost 4 of their last 5 but stopped a 4-game losing streak with a 19-point win over Nebraska Tuesday night.

Minnesota's schedule in the 2nd half of the Big Ten season is a little easier than the first half.  The Gophers are done playing against top ranked Michigan and have already faced #3 Indiana on the road.  The Gophers still have road games at ranked opponents Michigan State and Ohio State but play #3 Indiana at home.

The Gophers showed more life in the win over Nebraska with Rodney Williams Jr. putting up 23 points while Andre Hollins added 14 points and Austin Hollins chipped in 13 points.  Iowa is led by Roy Marble Jr averaging 14.1 points and Aaron White averaging 14.0 points a game.  The Hawkeyes are 14-7 overall and 3-5 in the Big Ten.
