The Twins fell to the Red Sox 2-1 in ten innings Wednesday at Fenway Park. Minnesota is now 32-38 and 6.5 games behind Kansas City in the standings.

The game was scoreless until a Chris Parmelee solo home run in the top of the tenth gave the Twins a 1-0 lead.

However, Twins reliever Casey Fien served up back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the tenth to hand Boston the win. David Ortiz hit the game-tying blast, followed by Mike Napoli’s walk-off home run.

The Twins host the White Sox Thursday at Target Field. Yohan Pino will make his major league debut for Minnesota against the White Sox Jose Quintana.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 on WJON.
