The Wild controlled play for most of the first and second periods but had trouble scoring in a loss to Anaheim.

The Minnesota Wild outshot the Anaheim Ducks 31-21 but still lost by 2-1 score at Xcel Energy Center Tuesday night.

Jason Zucker left the game after taking a vicious hit in the head from Corey Perry in the second period. Perry was given a game misconduct for the hit, which was well away from the puck. Zucker did not return to the game.

Devin Setoguchi scored the Wild's lone goal at 18:00 of the first period with the Wild on a power play.

Neither team scored in the second period and the Ducks scored two unanswered goals in the third period for the win.

The Wild host Colorado on Thursday night before a road game with the Avalanche over the weekend.
