ST. CLOUD -- One St. Cloud native took his passion for ultimate frisbee and brought it to one of the biggest stages in the world.

It's been a busy last few months for Cathedral High School graduate Charlie Schuweiler.

In April Schuweiler was selected to the USA U-19 Ultimate Frisbee Open National Team. A sport he has been playing since he was in seventh grade.

Schuweiler and the team began with training camp in New York and Boston, before heading to Italy for international competition.

The team played two games a day leading up to bracket play.

He says while training camp was the first time he met his teammates, you couldn't tell when they took the field.

The competition was held July 20th through the 27th. He says it was an experience he will never forget.

Schuweiler is a 2014 graduate at Cathedral High School and played on the school's Ultimate Frisbee team.
