Cathedral Baseball Presents Best Chance At State Run

The Cathedral baseball team has the best chance of all St. Cloud area baseball and softball programs at advancing to the state tournament.  The Crusaders are the top seed in East Sub-Section 6AA and will open the playoffs tonight against Holdingford at Dick Putz Field.  Cathedral's toughest tests will likely come from Little Falls, Albany, Rocori or Paynesville.  The Crusaders are veterans of state tournament appearances and could be headed back there.  Sauk Rapids-Rice baseball still has a shot in section 83A but will have to overcome Brainerd Friday.  Rocori softball needs to battle threw multiple elimination games to advance to the state tournament and will need to survive two of them tonight.
