Listen, I know this isn't really a big deal but let me have this moment. .

Hundreds of youth basketball players will be lacing up their shoes in St. Cloud this weekend.

The Minnesota Wild selected Sartell Youth Hockey for this year's Youth Hockey Spotlight Game at Bernick's Arena. The Sartell Pee Wee "B" squad, comprised of 12 and 13-year olds, were featured in the game against Buffalo.

St. Cloud's Todd Dingmann is one of 4 to receive the National Women and Girls in Sports Breaking Barriers Award in 2020. Dingmann has coached youth softball and girls basketball for the past 9 years.

The St. Cloud Blue Sox will be assisting at a Miracle League game Tuesday September 3. The Blue Sox players will be helping with things like assisting the players around the bases, playing catch with the teams before the game, and encouraging the kids as they play ball.

Athletic Partners Senior Partner Jeffrey Schultz joined me on WJON today. We talked about how Athletic Partners works with youth organizations throughout the state and nation to help support those organizations and provide revenue to keep each in existence to allow more and more kids to play competition travel sports.

The Waite Park 11U youth baseball team lost 4-3 today to Winter Park in Florida in the 11U Babe Ruth World Series. The loss eliminates Waite Park. Waite Park won both of their pool play games 5-3 over Pensacola Bill Bond and the Palm Beach Garden Thunder 3-1.

The Waite Park 11U youth baseball team lost 10-4 to Flood City today in the Babe Ruth 11U World Series. Games are being played in Jensen Beach and Palm City, Florida. Waite Park is still alive in bracket play and will play Winter Park at 8 a.m. Friday.

The Waite Park 11U baseball team is 2-0 at the Babe Ruth World Series in Jensen Beach and Palm City, Florida. Waite Park defeated Pensacola Bill Bond 5-3 today after knocking off the Palm Beach Garden Thunder 3-1 Tuesday.

The Sartell Baseball Association and Pinecone Central Park Association will be holding a dedication ceremony for a trio of new and renovated fields in Sartell Tuesday night.
