The St. Cloud Rox downed the Border Cats 7-6 Sunday when Jack Barrie hit a solo walk-off home run to lift the Rox to the win. It was Barrie's 2nd home run on the day. He finished with 3 hits, 2 runs scored and 4 RBIs for the Rox.
The Rox comeback attempt came up short with a 4-3 loss at home against La Crosse Thursday night. St. Cloud scored twice in the 9th inning but it wasn't enough. Sean Ross was 2-3 with a run scored and Bobby Seymour drove in 2 runs for the Rox.
Ryan Lillard paced the Rox with a a pair of hits and two runs batted in, while Ricardo Sanchez drew four walks and scored a pair of runs. St. Cloud pounded out 11 hits and drew seven walks to earn the win.
Rodriguez, who managed the team from 2012-2017, says it is important not to get too high or low at the beginning of the season when the roster is still taking shape. St. Cloud is currently 3-5 on the year.
