Twins Top White Sox Tuesday
The Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 6-4 Tuesday night at Target Field in the opening game of a three-game series. The Twins remain one game ahead of the Angels in the wild card standings.
White Sox Top Twins Thursday
Minnesota now trails Cleveland by 5.5 games in the American League Central standings with a record of 65-62. The Twins lead Kansas City, Seattle and the Los Angeles Angels by a half-game in the wild card race.
White Sox Rally to Beat the Twins 4-3
The Twins lost 4-3 in Chicago against the White Sox. Yoan Moncada doubled in the tying run against Taylor Rogers in the 8th inning before Tim Anderson singled in the game-winning run in the 9th against Trevor Hildenberger.
Twins Split Doubleheader In Chicago Monday
The late rally in game one carried over into game two, with Polanco and Dozier each hitting three-run home runs in the top of the second inning to pace the win. Dillon Gee picked up the victory for Minnesota with six innings of one run, two hit ball.
Twins Complete Sweep Of Arizona Sunday
Bartolo Colon picked up the win for the Twins and became just the third active pitcher (John Lackey and Max Scherzer being the others) to defeat all 30 MLB teams. Colon went six innings and allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six.
Twins Rained Out, Doubleheader Thursday
The Twins are currently in third place in the American League Central division, six games behind Cleveland. Minnesota is one game behind the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for the second AL wild card spot.
