Several coaches from the University of Minnesota hung out with fans in Sartell Wednesday afternoon in their final stop of their Gopher Road Tour.

Mitch Leidner was 11/20 through the air with a touchdown pass to Shannon Brooks, and Rodney Smith rushed 17 times for 74 yards and a touchdown.

The Gophers struggled mightily in the second half and failed to score a single point. The Gophers will host Northwestern on Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium.

The Gopher Football team improved to 7-2 with a 44-31 win over Purdue at TCF Bank Stadium this afternoon. Minnesota trailed 28-23 at halftime but surged in front with a Rodney Smith 7-yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter.

The Gopher Football team won at Illinois today 40-17. The win makes the Gophers Bowl eligible and improves their record to 6-2 overall. Minnesota led 14-7 at halftime and 21-14 after 3 quarters.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Gophers and Colorado Rams faced off last (Saturday) night. Gophers Rodney Smith brought in two touchdowns to help the Gophers come out with a 31-24 victory over Rams.

The Gophers host Indiana State on Saturday, September 10th. The game can be heard on AM 1390 KXSS with pregame coverage beginning at 2 p.m.

The Huskies will play at Upper Iowa on Saturday, September 10th. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON.
